Fellow Cattleman,

COVID-19 is at the forefront of society today and for the foreseeable future. RedFest cooperators have decided to proceed with our Red Angus sale as scheduled, Sunday April 5th 2020. Cattleman don’t get the day off; the animals need to be fed, watered, bedded and if they haven’t started hitting the ground already, calving season is quickly approaching. The option to postpone ranch work simply doesn’t exist – 2021 breeding plans need to be made and having a breeding bull for one’s turnout date is one less thing to worry about.
We realize that there may be hesitation to attend the sale in person. Our goal is to provide our clients with various options for each individuals comfort level. The plan stands to host our sale at Bloomington Livestock Exchange with the animals on site for day of viewing and in person bidding. Don’t feel comfortable heading out to the sale barn or don’t have the time to make the drive? We encourage you to have a private viewing of our sale animals. We will also have videos and pictures available on our webpage. Then follow up on sale day with online bidding and/or our cooperators will be available for phone bidding. Our sale will be run on Cattle USA and DVAuction.
Please remember to pre-register by April 2nd 2020 for approval prior to sale day to make for an easy purchase.
For any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to get in touch with any of our members, we are happy to assist to the best of our abilities any questions or concerns you may have and to schedule a viewing.

Phone Bidding:
Phone bids will be taken the day of the sale with any of the animal owners or by calling the sale barn at 608-994-2020. You may also leave a bid with the sale barn or any of the RedFest members.

We would ask anyone not attending in person to please have shipping arranged to remove your animals from Bloomington Sale Barn by Monday after the sale, or talk to a RedFest cooperator to arrange having your animals housed in Potosi until you are able to pick them up.

Buy Local! Buy Better!

We have all heard people make the statement “I bought my bull from out west” inferring that it is automatically a better bull because of its origin. That statement may have been true 20 years ago but definitely not today. Today the Midwest breeders have equal to, or superior cattle for this region in all of the major breeds. Breeders across America have access to the same breed genetics through AI.

Welcome to RedFest,

On behalf of all of us at RedFest we thank you for your interest in our cattle. The Red Angus Breed has the fastest growing popularity in America to date. The cattle have excellent carcass value and growth while still possessing excellent maternal strengths with quiet dispositions. If you, your family, and your help are tired of being threatened or injured by mean or wild cattle please take a look at what RedFest has to offer. We strive to produce high quality cattle that are just plain fun to work with. If you have any questions, please call any of the RedFest members – we are always ready to talk cattle.
